Knitting and Reading Updates

Hello Friends,

I hope you are doing well. I had a busy week working extra hours and catching up on reading. I actually did not do much knitting this week,  but I did finish reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman and I really liked it. Some parts of the book were tough to read and Eleanor was dealing with a lot of pain from her past. I especially enjoyed reading towards the end of the book. I would recommend this book because Eleanor is an interesting character and I thought that the way she saw the world and others was funny at times and I loved her opinions. I am starting to read Commonwealth now by Ann Patchett and I am hoping I enjoy it just as well. It is another one which has caught my eye and so many people have read it. I hope to do some more knitting on the Wool and the Gang Farrah Billie Jean top this weekend and next week to make more progress on the project. I hope to also start a new small project soon as well, it is always fun to have a couple projects on the go! Maybe socks?

Joining along (late) with Friontier Dreams for Crafting On and As Kat Knits for Unraveled Wednesday.

What will you be working on this weekend?

Thank you for visiting my blog today! Happy Friday!

  1. Eleaor Oliphant is a book I come across time and time again so I think it is a hint that I must finally read it, so will request it from my library as my next read. Thanks for your review it makes me want to read it. I am going to get over my second sock syndrome and start on my second sock to finish up a pair. Xxx

  2. I'm still knitting away on hats and enjoying them.
I started Eleanor Oliphant, but it just didn't grab me, but so many people do like it that I think I should give it another go.

  3. I liked Eleanor Oliphant too. I may have to check out the Ann Padgett book after I finish Beartown.

  4. I also just loved Eleanor! And, the ending was so awesome! I spent most of the weekend (ahead of a coming week of an inclement forecast) doing all the yard spring yard work! Aacckk! Yeah, it was a lot of stuff crammed into a weekend! My body is complaining loudly tonight!
